Paxos Festival 2022
Concert
Trio Mit Mandoline
Roza Poulimenou, Mezzo / Nataliya Stiku, Mandolin / Anastasios Strikos, Piano
Wednesday 20 July 2022
Old School Yard, Loggos, Paxos
People might claim that Vienna has an undying fascination for Italy; Luscious deserts, Baroque facades, Mozart’s Cosi Fan Tutte, garden orangeries even schnitzel... all of the above and much more remind us or makes us, Austrians, nostalgic of the South. This is the reason why so many Austrian composers wrote music for the mandolin, including Mozart, Beethoven and even Muller. So, during this concert we will also follow that thread that unites Vienna with Naples and Venice and on to the Ionian Islands and Athens.
This evening is part of the Austrian-Greek Music Summer Events and it is kindly supported by the Austrian Embassy in Athens.
